1954 Les Paul Standard Conversion Sideshow Bob
Here is a rare bird. A genuine, vintage 1954 Gibson Les Paul Standard named Sideshow Bob. Bought from Carter Vintage Guitars. Previously owned by Joe Bonamassa (see a video of him playing it, although he mistakenly called it a ’53) / Chris Daughtry from the LesPaulForum. A guitar for a player and/or connoisseur. It has those Jeff Beck vibes and configuration. The overall condition is very clean. It plays and sounds phenomenal.
Vintage (old, it seems) refinished in Cherryburst (looks fantastic, real checking, no „artificial aging“). Recently upgraded for humbuckers, very clean. HEADSTOCK CRACK REPAIRED. See photos, it was a crack, not a break. The serial number was added later. Includes a copy of the letter from Carter Vintage. The guitar has been owned by Charles Daughtry and Joe Bonamassa.
Specifications:
Pickups: Super late T-Tops/Early Shaws, i.e., T-Top coils but stamped baseplates and plastic spacers. These came with the guitar directly from Bonamassa, who seemed satisfied with them. Tuners: Vintage Grovers. Bridge: Lightweight golden Wraptail. The plastics are largely aftermarket, but the knobs are original. Pots/wiring: From a Historic Reissue R7 from around 2007, CTS pots, Bumblebee capacitors.
